Recent Pride in Jackson Hole

For a number of years, the Teton Pride Picnic, hosted by the Jackson chapter of PFLAG, was our community's only public LGBTQ+ gathering. The potluck style gathering invited queer folks, loved ones, and allies to meet and support one another.

In 2018, a group of queers got together to host Jackson's first Pride Dance Party, hosted at the Pink Garter Theatre. With 450 people in attendance, the party showcased Jackson's love and support, as well as a need for more queer gatherings.

After years of activism leading up to it, later in the summer of 2018 the Town of Jackson passed a Non-Discrimination Ordinance (NDO) with staunch community turnout and support. The NDO provides protection for LGBTQ+ community members if they are discriminated against in employment or housing based on their gender identities or sexual orientations. The ordinance passed with a 5-0 vote, and Jackson became the second town in Wyoming, the "Equality State," to pass such legislation.

In 2019, local LGBTQ+ community members and allies marched in the Old West Days parade for the first time, and the second Pride Dance Party was an even greater success than the first.

In 2021 we are launching this website and a series of events through June and beyond to support queer folks in our community. Inclusivity and joy are our primary focus. If you'd like to be involved or have any questions, please go to the connect page.
